Expressions of Interest Now Open – North Lakes United Academy 2026

North Lakes United is thrilled to announce that Expressions of Interest are now open for our 2026 Academy program! We welcome both new and returning boys and girls who are passionate about developing their football in a high-performance environment.
Trials will take place in October/November (dates to be confirmed).

In 2026, we aim to expand our female pathway with the introduction of U14 Girls and U17 Girls Academy teams – this will complete our female Academy pathway.

We’re also proud to share that North Lakes United is currently in the process of submitting a Tier 1 Academy application to Football Queensland. This positions us to be rated Bronze, Silver, or Gold under the FQ Academy Rating System - highlighting our commitment to excellence in player and coach development.

As part of this journey, we’re making exciting enhancements to our Academy Program to ensure it not only meets the stringent Tier 1 standards. Full details will be revealed soon - follow us on social media to ensure you don’t miss these announcements.

Our Academy Programs will follow gender and age-specific development plans and train three nights per week, focusing on our four core performance pillars:

• Technical
• Tactical
• Physical
• Psychosocial

This holistic approach ensures every player has the opportunity to grow on and off the pitch.

Terms and conditions

  • Please note that this is an Expression of Interest only. Due to the high volume of anticipated applicants, we regret that not all players will be invited to participate in trials. Only those who receive a formal written invitation from the club will be eligible to attend.

Please note that an important part of our selection process includes ensuring that both players and their parents or guardians are aligned with the values and expectations of our club. In order for our program to thrive, it’s essential that families are fully supportive of our approach and objectives. Where we feel this alignment may not be present, it may be taken into account during the player selection process.

We kindly ask that parents and supporters of trialists refrain from approaching selectors at any time or in any capacity. To ensure a fair and focused environment, we also request that all parents and supporters remain off the playing surface and, where possible, position themselves at a reasonable distance from both selectors and trialists.
